Hello Friend. My name is Alicia.
I have been a graphic designer for over 20 years and have been running a successful word-of-mouth freelance design company since 2000.
A little nugget about myself ... I am supported by one amazingly tolerant (and handsome) hubby, two very creative grown boys that also get recruited to help with a lot of heavy lifting. A great Dane that feels she is a lap dog, a cat that must sit in the middle of whatever I am working on, and a little pot belly pig that happily wanders about, wagging her tail and eating everything in her path. (That’s a story for another day.)
Creatively ... I have always had an appreciation for good craftsmanship and enjoy remodeling, re-purposing and re finishing just about anything. I love working with wood and painting murals or on canvas. And more recently, lighting design.
I have such a strong desire to be more artistic with my design work that I am beginning to shift focus from primarily graphic design to being hands-on in the workshop.
My goal is to assist my clients by helping to enhance any space where they may live, work or play with original, personal, thoughtful and artful touches. Every space needs a good story or memory to make it more comfortable and being trusted to create something special for a client or surprising them with a creative solution that maybe they hadn’t thought of, is a gift in itself.
